Memory Card is the bedroom-based indie rock project of Henry Tartt, Alabama’s sole DIY indie songwriter, probably. Sometimes tongue-in-cheek, others fully vulnerable, Tartt ventures between different tones and sounds in almost every song, never finding comfortability in one place. Joined by Nathan McMurray and Evren Centeno on tour, the now three-piece band hope to mix a sassy stage presence with creative indie rock songs.

One of Asheville’s finest local acts, Tombstone Poetry are a five-piece indescribable mutation of alternative rock subgenres with post-rock, alt-country, slowcore and grunge influences: obviously, they’re pretty damn hip. Submerged in layers and layers of effect pedals, their dissonant, sludgy chords battle with busy basslines, intricate drumming and metal screams, leaving behind a bloodied, intoxicating concoction.

The experimental folk project of friends Audrey Keelin and Lila (who’s last name I sadly do not know…) Orre offer intimate folk music that takes hushed vocals and contrasts them with fuzzed-out acoustic guitars, creating a droning hypnosis similar–in ways–to the work of Mount Eerie.

Trust Blinks, who’s washed-out slowcore exhibits intricate songwriting skills, are opening the night with a grand return to Asheville! Their recent self-titled EP pairs soft, breathy vocals with minimal, yet enchanting arrangements.
