HOW TO TURN POISON INTO A MEAL : MOVEMENT LEB W/ COCO VILLA

How To Turn Poison Into A Meal is a three-part movement class conducted in follow-along style and guided improvisation. Instruction is inspired by Caribbean dance styles, dance fitness, somatic movement practices, and self proclaimed rituals. HTTPIAM was created as a response to grief; release and surrender in the form of a physical confession, a cleansing conducted through the therapy of repetition.

Part one focuses on repetition to generate heat in the body. Part two explores movement expression through pattern, pace, and shape. Part three is an invitation to use the space freely. Activities are high intensity. While demanding in physical and mental stamina, participants are encouraged to challenge themselves and move at their own pace.

Note: Some exercises may include partner work and physical contact with other participants.
