Soft Idiot is the stage name of Philadelphia based songwriter, record producer, and multi-instrumentalist Justin Roth. Described as, “one of the most prolific acts in the Philly scene,” Roth has built his following by self-producing and releasing heartfelt records on a yearly basis since learning to record and mix in his bedroom in 2015. His songwriting and production build on the bones of indie rock and folk music, adding layers of screaming guitars and bubbling synthesizer melodies. By combining well-honed singer-songwriter basics with surprising, and even sometimes abrasive elements, Roth’s music keeps the listener guessing in a way that always feels cohesive.

Claire Whall is a singer songwriter with haunting vocals and the desire to self soothe through dark introspective lyrics and melody.

Zachary Warren Briggs is a songwriter born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina. As a teen, he began remedially filling journals and finding melodies to match. Brought up in a home with close quarters, his music naturally settled into a gentle place: light finger-picking and hushed singing, so as not to disturb his sleeping family. While over the years, stylistically Zachary’s music has been through various forms, the solace and pursuit of song has always remained at the center. Zachary hopes his songs encapsulate sincere, relatable narratives. Zachary’s debut album, “Mama No More,” was released this past April and is available on all streaming platforms.
